1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Mushafy app and the website mushafy.app, published by Enes Kirca (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies to the app; these terms add to it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. What Mushafy is

Mushafy shows the Quran ayah by ayah, with translations, recitations, word-by-word information and study summaries drawn from classical tafsir. The Arabic text, translations, recitations and datasets come from the sources listed under “Sources & credits” in the app.

Mushafy is a study aid. Its study sections summarize what classical scholars wrote; they are not a fatwa, do not issue religious rulings and do not replace a qualified teacher. We work carefully to keep the content accurate, but it may contain mistakes. If you find one, please use “Report an issue” in the app.

3. Mushafy Premium

Many features are free. Mushafy Premium unlocks the additional features described in the app.

• Plans. Premium is offered as an annual or a monthly auto-renewing subscription. The price and the length of each period are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you buy.
• Free trial. The annual plan may include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid annual subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you started one.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After you cancel, Premium stays available until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Restoring. If you reinstall the app or use a new device with the same Apple ID, use “Restore Purchases” in the app’s settings to get Premium back.
• Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your agreement.

4. Using the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial purposes. You may share ayah images and quotes made with the app’s sharing features. You may not:

• copy, extract or redistribute the app’s study content or datasets in bulk;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• overload, scrape or interfere with our servers; or
• use “Report an issue” to send abusive or unlawful content.

5. Content and intellectual property

The app, its design and its study summaries belong to us. The Quran text, translations, recitations and datasets belong to their respective owners and are used under their licences, as credited in the app.

6. Changes and availability

We may update, change or remove features and content, for example to correct mistakes. We try to keep the app and our servers available, but we cannot promise that they will always work without interruption.

7. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Mushafy Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your rights as a consumer.

8. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access to online features for anyone who misuses them.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
